struck at the heart of Jewish Power. Look at
all the thanks he got.

He might not have been a notable anti-Zionist, because in 1936 the future of Palestine appeared to be only Britain's concern, not America's. But he had certainly made himself a major enemy of powerful Jewish leadership in the country. We are speaking of the Republican Representative Louis T. McFadden of Pennsylvania. He had begun his career as a bank teller and had risen to the presidency of the First National Bank of Pennsylvania. He had also been the treasurer and the president of the Pennsylvania Bankers' Association. First elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1914, he had been returned to Congress for nine consecutive terms, having run unopposed in 1932. However, in 1934 he was defeated by a Democratic opponent.
What happened? The following passage from his Wikipedia page will give you a pretty good idea:
McFadden later became a "vociferous foe of the Federal Reserve", which he claimed was created and operated by Jewish banking interests who conspired to economically control the United States. In a speech in the House of Representatives in December 1931, McFadden accused Paul Warburg, one of the leading forces behind the Federal Reserve Act, of "having engineered the great depression."

On June 10, 1932, McFadden made a 25-minute speech before the House of Representatives, in which he accused the Federal Reserve of deliberately causing the Great Depression. McFadden also claimed that Wall Street bankers funded the Bolshevik Revolution through the Federal Reserve banks and the European central banks with which it cooperated.
Nevertheless, as we have noted, he was re-elected without opposition in 1932. But as the Depression deepened, so did McFadden's career prospects. Here we continue from Wikipedia:
In 1934, he made several anti-Semitic comments from the floor of the House and in newsletters to his constituents wherein he cited the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, claimed the Roosevelt administration was controlled by Jews, and objected to Henry Morgenthau, Jr., a Jew, becoming Secretary of the Treasury. Drew Pearson claimed in his "Washington Merry-Go-Round" column that, in a publication by the American fascist Silver Shirts, McFadden had been "extensively" quoted "in support of Adolf Hitler".
In September the Nazi tabloid Der Stuermer praised McFadden. He was also lauded by the publications of William Dudley Pelley, leader of the Silver Shirts, on several occasions. On election day that year he lost to Charles E. Dietrich by "about 2,000 votes". This was the only election between 1912 and 1950 when the district elected a Democrat.
We might recall that the very influential Drew Pearson was also the primary vilifier of Forrestal. In 1936, after having survived two attempts on his life in Washington, DC, one by gunshot and the other by poisoning, McFadden died at the age of 60 of a "heart attack" in a New York City hospital ten days after entering the hospital suffering from a sudden bout of "intestinal flu."[1]
As important an influential a man as he was in his day--the McFadden Act of 1927, which limited the branches of national banks to the state in which they were chartered was named for him--McFadden seems to have been virtually erased from the pages of American history, after the fashion of a purged Politburo member airbrushed out of Red Square reviewing stand photographs in the old Soviet Union. The 20thcentury U.S. history textbook that I was assigned as an undergraduate makes no mention of him, while it refers to Father Charles Coughlin four times on five pages, a man who had very similar views and spoke about them publicly.[2] Coughlin's political wings were ultimately clipped when the bishop who had supported him died and the one who replaced him ordered him to cease his political activities.
Finally, at the risk of getting even further afield from the subject of possible prominent victims of Zionism, we might add that the death of the anti-Communist Republican Senator Joe McCarthy of Wisconsin at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in 1957 of "hepatitis, acute, cause unknown" at the age of 48 is more than a little bit suspicious.[3]
