As a Christian pastor I tell people there is nothing great about Clarence Larkin. (See JG below)
First he was a self-taught Bible teacher along the same lines of Scofield. He was an engineer by profession with no theological training except for a few books. Most importantly he was a Dispensationalist which helps continue Scofield’s heresy of a dual covenant. His book on Dispensational Truth is full of heretical teachings. Larkin’s statement on the Jew’s morality clearly shows he had no clue as to the real nature of the Jew.
Eschatology speaking he has done great damage to the church. He is cited as an authority on the end times with his charts and graphs yet his charts and graphs help foster the notion that the Jew is still “God’s chosen†and the “apple of God’s eye†instead of declaring they are the “enemies of the Gospel!†His teachings lend support to the “We Support Israel†and Israel has a right to this and that mentality on the Christian church.
I hope someday the church wakes up and realizes the very Jews whom they have nearly deified and blindly supported has systematically been undermining and destroying their church. I don’t think most will because as the movie says, “they can’t handle the truth.†Keep up the good work Henry. You are a breath of fresh air in a stale and stagnant world.
