We are not perfect. You are not perfect. The only perfection/righteousness any of us will ever have is that which is, will be, or has been imputed to us in Jesus Christ Our Savior, through His One Great Sacrifice on the cross, when He took all of our sin upon Himself and IMPUTED TO US His Own Perfect Righteousness. We receive this astounding gift by FAITH in God's Word that this is so.
God's Word tells us that all of our own righteousness is as filthy rags. Christ's Perfection and Righteousness is our ticket to heaven. We do not get there on our own merits or efforts. If man could have saved himself, there would have been nor reason nor need for Christ to die for us on the cross.
