It's all Kabuki theatre.
He hasnt "drained the swamp" to date, and he will not drain it, when all's said and done. As I said in an earlier comment at this site, at the end of Trumps term the federal government will be bigger, the tax burden on citizens will be higher, and the budget deficits and federal debt even larger.
Trump just demanded another $4 trillion spending increase for the federal government to " tide it over" so he can accomplish what he wants to do, fer chrissakes!.
The only opposition to him was Thomas Massie, a small ( but welcome) thorn in Trumps side. Trump is just the latest in a very long line of loud-mouth big government , "the government can fix stuff" socialists scam artists, and, to boot, he faked the supposed assassination attempt in Pennsylvania:
