Microwave energy causes water molecules in food to oscillate rapidly, which generates heat. Not sure what exactly happens to electrical conductors in a microwave oven but they appear to sparkle/flash (ever left a fork in the microwave by accident?). This may be what it looks like when an infinity of free electrons on a conductor's surface beats to the frequency of the microwave beam. Scorched paint .. and obvious more intense scorch marks near points, or square corners of body work, where free electrons might pool due to mutual repulsion, also favors microwaves.
Another characteristic of microwave energy ...when illuminated, crops like wheat and corn will soften at the base of the stalk and bend over, without breaking. We've seen that kind of thing happening for decades in Crop Circles.
