It never ceases to amaze me that in all the criticism of the UN it never is mentioned anymore that the writing of its rules was given to Alger Hiss, a dedicated communist who lied to congress about himself and was jailed. Much of his writing was copied, word for word, from the Soviet "constitution," especially the words about "human rights."
