The issue, at least from what I can see, is (lack of) leadership, whereby the leader (Matthew Guy) who led the Liberals (main opposition) at the last Victorian election (in which they were routed) again led this at this election; the Liberals' vote apparently improved, but they will still win around the same number of seats in the Lower House as the last election.Victoria's west is Labor's stronghold in the state as it's traditionally working class and in the last 20 years or so has received immigrants from all corners of the globe (the majority of which appear to vote left). The Greens winning 6 seats (from 2) in the Lower House is really worrying and continues a trend noted from the federal election earlier this year.
