The Prophet identified Syria as being a focal point in al-Malhama and he prophesied that both Syria and Yemen will put up a strong resistance against Gog and Magog. According to Islamic eschatology, Gog and Magog will initially triumph and establish a world tyranny based in Jerusalem, and the antichrist is believed to eventually emerge from the Jewish community of Iran. He will rule the world briefly until Jesus Christ descends in Damascus and wages the final battle to grant the world liberty from this scourge.

The Prophet made a crucial statement when he declared that during these events, the community of Islam will form an alliance with Roum, the Islamic term for Eastern Orthodox Christianity, against the forces of Dajjal the antichrist. Roum (meaning Rome) referred to Byzantium, and is designated in accordance with the seat of Eastern Christianity now located in Moscow, which inherited the title "The Third Rome" after the fall of Christian Constantinople.

The deception emanating from certain compromised quarters of Western Christianity is not that Armageddon is a physical war (in fact it is WW3); the deception is that Islam is the enemy. The Islamic view is that Armageddon will be an apocalyptic war in which a large portion of humanity will perish, wajed between the forces of belief led by Islam and Eastern Christianity on one side, against the Kabbalist NWO, including some fallen branches of Western Christianity which now unconsciously enable and fuel the antichrist system. It will very much be a spiritual AND physical battle, and it will entail a uniting of Muslims and anti-NWO Christians!

Actually, there is no such thing as "the battle of Armageddon." Bible prophecy reveals that just before God establishes His rule on earth, the world's armies will be gathered by demonic forces into the Valley of Jezreel adjoining Megiddo (Rev. 16:14, 16). They will then converge in a pincers movement on Jerusalem to fight Jesus Christ. The Valley of Jezreel adjacent to Megiddo will be the staging area for the world's armies. The actual battle, however, will occur in the Kidron Valley below the Mount of Olives where Christ will be (Zechariah 14:4). The Kidron Valley is also known as the Valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:2, 12). The actual battle itself is described as "the battle of that great day of God Almighty" (Rev. 16:14). So whenever you hear someone referring to "the battle of Armageddon," they don't know what they're talking about. That phrase is nowhere found in the Bible.

OMG!!! I knew a reply from SQ would be coming. I have dealt with these people before and the fruit from their tree is quite evident! This article misses the thrust of possibly everything to do with God’s plan for this physical universe. How can the author say that Revelation is about the spiritual battle within the soul when Jesus himself prophesied the Day of the Lord in Matthew 24 in almost inseparable conjunction with the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem in 70 AD? It is the nature of apocalyptic literature to conflate the immediate issue with the end times in this manner. Revelation also does the same thing with regard to the Roman Empire at the time it was written. Yet the events of 70 AD and the beast of the Roman Empire were very real physical historical things, not just a spiritual battle going on within the soul, and speak a lot about the very real events soon to take place. The end time beast is in its nature an extension of the beasts of Daniel and Revelation. They are the same animal, and the tragedy of this article is that if it were true to itself it would even deny the very physical conspiracy that you yourself seek to warn us about. Spiritual reality manifests in physical creation, and to deny this is tantamount to denying that God himself manifested in the flesh in Jesus Christ and who went to an awful lot of trouble to make this physical creation in order to achieve his spiritual objectives. Unless one knows God in relation to his Son, i.e. be born again as a true Christian believer, one can never discern the truth of things. The Bible states clearly that its text is not of personal interpretation (2 Peter 1:20), meaning that wherever there is a clear text, one should not just wake up one morning and defy 2000 years of clear meaning in the verse. All hail prophet Lynn.

The article by Lynn is more a bunch of rants and ramblings than good exegesis. It is a salad of crazy affirmations with no regard to truth or even to the coherence of text, and can only be accepted by people who have never read the Bible and who hate it to start with.

Armageddon is a place. The verse reads like a story. The place exists, it is on the foot of Mount Megido. Actually believers have no reason to fear, because it won't be a usual battle at all, since Jesus will destroy His enemies with the breath of his mouth.

What Lynn in her ignorance refers to, what people like Quayle talks about, are the battles for the Antichrist to ascend to power. Any conspiracy researcher knows about them. It is World War III, and not Armageddon. Read Makow's books, it is there.

The ironic part is that Lynn, who claims that the Bible is symbolic (and that she, among all men, has the special key to its meaning) fails to realize that a naked man in Rev 16 means someone who has not received salvation, who is in sin (that's why there is the problem of exposure, he has no clothing of righteousness) and thinks it refers to actual clothes! That verse is a metaphor, it is symbolic. It is pathetic.

Henry, the article is of extreme poor quality and I am surprised to see it included in your site.

The first clue that Armageddon is a spiritual war and not a physical war is Revelations verse 15 where it says; "behold, I come as a thief, blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk NAKED, and they see his SHAME.. and he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." Military men do not fight battles in the buff!

In the time of the Temple in Jerusalem, the Levites were split into divisions and then further into assigned tasks. One would be assigned to remove the ashes from the altar, another would carry the wood, etc. The flame on the altar must be lit at all times, night and day, so a priest would be assigned to keep watch by night.

However, there are times when the night watchman would be found sleeping, and that was a serious problem. To deter this behavior, the guilty priest would be stripped of his robes and forced to greet the morning naked and ashamed - that taught him to stay awake!

Now, let's look at the verses in question:

And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. ("Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.") And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon. (Rev 16:13-16)

Please note that the statement focused on is a parenthetical insertion, which means that the surrounding sentence stands alone without it. The warning is not for those gathered, but for God's people - we must not be found sleeping when He arrives like the night watchman in the Temple. We cannot look at scripture without noting the surrounding verses.

Therefore, this "first clue" is nothing of the sort.

While I don't totally agree with the author's analogies -- or theologies, if you will -- of the book of Revelations regarding "Armageddon," there is much to consider in this author's take on the spirituality of it all. He hasn't fired back at me as yet, but when he does it will be like a rattlesnake spitting venom in my face! Well, that's his style. Lynn's use of "right hand path vs. left hand path" gives us an excellent clue as to where her ideas are emanating from - namely, the pit of hell. As JG correctly commented, she allegorizes everything in Scripture. I believe this is what the Gnostics and Cathars did. Obvious heresy. A false prophet is anyone (Lynn) who adds or takes away from God's word and twists it into a lie. I need to wash off the spiritual pollution now - yuck!

In order to answer this article, point by point, I would need to write something close to the length of this man's article. Lynn reminds me of a friend of mine who left the Catholic Church and joined an allegorical oriented group of believers where the Holy Bible became all symbolic in it's interpretation.

He claimed that the stories in the bible were put there to be symbolically interpreted and were not to be taken as literal or historical fact.

Only the truly blessed and spiritually discerned can interpret the Book of Revelation. However, that hasn't stopped John Hagee, Jack Van Impe, and many others who use it to solicit support for Modern Day Israel and it's leaders like Benjamin Netanyahu. What they refuse to acknowledge is that Israel and the Church are two different entities, Israel being under the Law and the Church being under Jesus Christ.

As Christians our salvation can only come through Jesus Christ and it can be done simply by following his commands. We don't need to be scholars of prophecy or biblical symbolism in order to be redeemed.
