Overcoming Helplessness

"We need to be like the white blood cells that protect the body against infection and foreign substances, and get to healing this nation."

It Starts with You and Me
That is the title of a song I wrote on spec for a Hollywood music supervisor 22 years ago. Truth never gets out of date. Our nation is truly a wonderful place run by thugs and to change what is going on now, one can not depend on the answer or action coming from DC or Angels or extraterrestrials or anyone else.
The change must come from you and me not some outside authority. One may get "inspiration" from a religious, spiritual, or philosophical source, but the action must come from you.
In August of 2011 a Maricopa County, AZ Tea Party resident started a petition and got 250 signatures and took it to their Sheriff, Joe Arpaio. They wanted an investigation to ï¬nd out if President Obama had really been vetted to run for office in Arizona.
As most of you know, March 1st World Net Daily broadcast a live presentation of the investigation by Sheriff Arpaio's "posse" as they presented the evidence of fraud and forgery on Obama's electronic birth certiï¬cate found on thewhitehouse.gov's website.
This is an example of what one person can do. The world is being affected by the positive actions of that Tea Party member.
On Joyce Riley's GCN show, The Power Hour, the day before, she had a guest on hour #3, Clifford Carnicom of the Carnicom Institute who has been investigating and writing about Chemtrails for over a dozen years to bring the truth to the people.
Joyce asked him what everyday people do about this and he pointed out that everyone has a talent or ability, their strength, and they should use it.
In other words, if you are musician, write a song about things. If you are a good communicator, call talk shows and get up in front of city council meetings and say something. An artist? Design t-shirts or posters or do wall paintings. The key is to take action.
James Corbett had a great show on overcoming learned helplessness, another person doing what they do best for the good of all.
As a metaphysician, I see us as part of the whole of existence much like how the cells of a body work. The ï¬nger, the liver, the eyes, all do what they do best. Since our nation is in great distress or dis-ease we need to be like the macrophages, the white blood cells that protect the body against infection and foreign substances, and get to healing this nation.

You are not alone even though the incredibly repressive mind control of the psychopaths who are currently running the show make you feel like you are, you are strong, feel it, be it. If you are not sure of your strengths, ask a friend what they think yours are and do it.
Henry and others are doing it, like the volunteers for Ron Paul or senior centers or various shelters and homes. If you have a neighbor who can't keep up their yard, ask them if you can plant a garden there or mow their lawn for them. Every positive action from the heart is like those white blood cells that rush to heal.
It is never too late to do good in the world, and it starts with you and me.

Makow Note: I'd like to hear your opinion. Is participating in mainstream public debate and elections a waste of time? Please be succinct!
Elaine said (March 3, 2012):
I can see how people can feel helpless about our situation, especially when the voting process is all
but a forgone conclusion. Everyone must write on their ballot, someone that they want for President, someone like Alan Keyes, or Paul Craig Roberts, Sheriff Joe, or Andrew Napolitano. There are a number of people who would be morally acceptable if they could get onto the ballet, but they aren't allowed. Anyone willing to follow the Constitution as written by the Founding Fathers would be able to right the ship that is America.
There would be a lot of negating of rules, regulations and laws that are not legal under the Constitution, and a bunch of firings. No one who has gotten us into the mess should be left in the government. That would mean a whole lot of new people to be elected and replaced. That would be the hard part. Are there enough MORAL people left to cover it who would not be afraid to do what is necessary?
