Revenge Killer Traumatized by Porn as Child

Elliot Rodger wrote that he
was "traumatized"
by exposure to internet porn
as an-11-year old.

We'll hear lots about gun control and mental health, but we won't hear about the impact
of a culture that values sexual fulfillment over almost anything else.

Elliot Rodger and the Santa Barbara Killings
Observations from a Christian Psychiatrist...
(edited/abridged by henrymakow.com)

I haven't heard anyone comment about the impact of [porn] on vulnerable young people, or the trend in culture to make sexual orientation/activity the defining feature of one's identity.

I'm a child psychiatrist...this kid's "manifesto" and videos are a treasure trove for guys who study the thinking of those who kill. Reading through his "manifesto," it's pretty clear that the cause of his sexual obsession was exposure to pornography through an online chat room and a center for video gamers. I'm seeing more kids for whom this is becoming a problem... especially kids who tend to ruminate or obsess on distressing thoughts.
...

I'd suggest that Elliot was traumatized by his initial exposure to sexual images over the Internet. From his manifesto...

Towards the end of sixth grade, I still hadn't made a group of friends who I could see outside of school. ... Joining chatrooms through AOL temporarily filled in the social void for a few weeks. This will definitely not be the first time I would try to fill in that void with the internet...

One friend who I met through a chat room suddenly emailed me pictures of beautiful naked girls, telling me to "check this out". When I looked at the pictures, I was shocked beyond words. I had never seen what beautiful girls looked like naked, and the sight filled me with strong and overwhelming emotions. I didn't know what was happening to me. Was it the first inkling of sexual desire in my body? I was traumatized. My childhood was fading away. Ominous fear swept over me, and I stopped talking to that person.

As the Sixth Grade year came to a close, I felt dissatisfied and insignificant. Indeed, a whole new world had opened up before me, and I had no idea how to prevail in it. I still wanted to live as a child.

Later, he describes another experience in the eighth grade at a place where people gathered to play video games...

rodg.jpgOne time while I was alone at Planet Cyber, I saw an older teenager watching pornography. I saw in detail a video of a man having sex with a hot girl. The video showed...(deleted). I didn't know anything about sex at the time. I barely even knew what sex was. I was slowly starting to develop sexual feelings for hot girls, but I didn't know what to do with them. To see this video really traumatized me. I had no idea what I was seeing... I couldn't imagine human beings doing such things with each other. The sight was shocking, traumatizing, and arousing. All of these feelings mixed together took a great toll on me. I walked home and cried by myself for a bit. I felt too guilty about what I saw to talk to my parents about it. I was quite shaken for a few days.

This was among the very first glimpses I had of sex. Finding out about sex is one of the things that truly destroyed my entire life. Sex... the very word fills me with hate. Once I hit puberty, I would always want it, like any other boy. I would always hunger for it, I would always covet it, I would always fantasize about it. But I would never get it. Not getting any sex is what will shape the very foundation of my miserable youth. This was a very dark day.

We know that vulnerable kids experience enormous harm from harsh words and bullying, and our schools and institutions have appropriately taken steps to protect them.

But what about protecting vulnerable kids from the impact of the highly sexualized culture in which we live? I've treated a number of kids in recent years who exhibit the effects of trauma resulting from exposure to sexual material or situations fairly common to daily life.

Elliot's identity was defined by his inability to engage in behavior that is idolized in our culture. Unfortunately, it's highly likely we'll be seeing more incidents like this as kids at risk become saturated with images disseminated through Snapchat or "sexted" by peers.

We'll hear lots of discussion in the coming weeks about the need for gun control and better mental health preventive services, but I bet we won't hear about limiting the impact of a culture upon vulnerable youth that values sexual fulfillment over almost anything else.

We have a responsibility to our vulnerable young people to expose and include them in an alternate culture...a culture that values them for the fullness of who they were created to be and provides them the opportunity to be part of a larger story...a story of grace and redemption!

I wouldn't go overboard on analyzing Elliot Rodger's alleged motives, since there are multiple reports of two people in the car, no history of violence, etc. Sandy Hook and Boston Marathon were definitely hoaxes. the Aurora theater shooting may have been as well. Crisis actors are now the apparent new alternative to creating the desired political effect without too much bloodshed, except for the patsies like Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

From Dan:

This article is the most rational analysis of one of these shooting events I've seen in many years.   Thanks for posting it.  The 'mainstream' media won't.

What's more disturbing than Elliot is seeing that not only has the public acquiesced to pornography as a 'normal and harmless' factor in growing up in America - as we see in the comments, some men leap to defend it.  Of course they won't cop to being wankers themselves, because there's no other reason anyone would equate criticism of pornography with gun control.

Like they used to say in Army boot camp:

"This is my rifle
and this is my gun,
one is for killing,
the other for fun...."

No boys, the Illuminati does not want to take your porn away.

What surprises me is how quick some men are to so aggressively attack the messenger.  The writer isn't presenting a theory that the porn played a central role in the shooter's derangement - just read Elliot's 140 page "manifesto".   Elliot said he was traumatized by porn he was shown at eleven year old.

Few men would say they were traumatized by the first  porn they saw, but we don't know what Elliot was shown.  May have been beastiality or snuff.    NO question he associated sex with power and murder.

Most young adults who grew up with soft porn TV movies and finding internet porn didn't have a 'bad experience', but their brain physiology was changed nevertheless.  Boys who are men today became hooked on daily masturbation,  and sexual fantasies about little girls you knew at school, teachers, celebrities, women at work, women in general -- and that's just the heterosexuals.

As for the comment that porn didn't accelerate Elliot's urge to kill, because snuff porn doesn't make you a killer, listen to what serial killer Ted Bundy said about it.   Bundy admitted that the killer potential was already in him, but porn fueled it over the top.   He also said that of all the violent offenders and killers he'd met during ten years on Death Row,  every one of them was first addicted to porn.

This "shooting" in Santa Barbara was a staged and scripted event. Please look at the videos of the cleanup in the deli/quick store. There is a crate of glass in view, indicating that the replacement glass for a broken window was sent well in advance. This is just one in a long line of staged events with scripts for everyone (including the "father" of one of the alleged shooting victims, Chris Martinez) who ranted the next day about people getting riled up about guns, get rid of guns, etc. Curse the NRA.

People, it's another in a long line of staged events designed to get more money from taxpayers for more staged events sponsored by DHS, FEMA and involving local law enforcement.

With the Boston Bombing marathon staged event, some people got hurt for real (I have an acquaintance from Boston whose ER nurse friend had to sew people up after that staged event complete with patsies with Russian/Chechen sounding names and military intelligence contractors ("Craft" with devices in their hands), and fake injured people who were already amputees.

I'm a native Californian and these events are becoming routine, but they're happening all over.
Vote these venal liars out of office, and write to your congresspeople.

btw, California IS a testbed of mind control and psychological operations.

These days they can stage really sloppy events, using our tax dollars (!), and most people still believe they're real.

(Note: If they screw up and actually hurt or kill someone, don't overestimate their empathy; they have none! It's considered "collateral damage"!!)

Don't believe this crap, folks. It's designed to manipulate public opinion.

It is hard enough to "socialize" pre-pubescent humans without perverted videos showing up in their lives.

One may ask where were his parents, why did they not regulate what he watched? Too busy?

Elliott was right. Sex is a problem. It takes work to socialize young males--and females--to handle the dynamite called sex. Just saying "sex is natural" won't do it. It's natural to be greedy, sloppy, and stupid, too. Just letting nature take its course in a world where porn is easily available--is asking for trouble.

As the granny of pre-pubescent boys I really care about this.

While I very much agree that pornography negatively influences the minds of young men, I have to disagree with the author's conclusion that we experience life in a society that values "sexual fulfillment over almost everything else."

I would reword your statement so that it reads, "sexual exploitation over almost anything else."

Women as well as men understand that sexual desire is a powerful emotion that can be utilized to obtain power. Pornographers capitalize upon instinctual sexual desire most directly by producing erotic scenes that will draw a strong response in order to sell videos, memberships, or generate ad revenue. So to, the average women profits from desire, by denying fulfillment to suitors in order to confirm her only decisive influence over men, her ability to allow or disallow sexual relations.

The praxis of acquiring power through the process of exploiting the sexual desires of another practiced by men, women, record labels, politicians, pornographers, pimps, etc attributes to frustration experienced in individuals unable to fulfill their sexual desires.

Pornography then becomes a source of relief for the sexually frustrated. It can be argued that pornographic videos influence fantasies involving domination or in extreme cases murder, however it is difficult to claim that this is the sole cause of the transmutation of fantasy into action. The man that becomes aware of the way in which he has been exploited, but is incapable of overpowering the addiction through sheer willpower will revert to violence so that he may "free" himself from internal strife he cannot overcome.

Don't be put off track. He was set up to take the rap because he was a mind control patsy, not because he was traumatized by internet porn as a kid and/or was on drugs (Drugs and sexual trauma are par for the course in the making of a mind control slave, but not enough to produce one by themselves.).

Just about every mind control patsy that made headlines was said to be a sub-standard, social misfit loser who couldn't make it with women (Said the stripper in Jack Ruby's strip club about Lee Harvey Oswald in a movie, "Well he really wasn't vary good-looking.".).

That would make just about every man a potential mass killer in a society of entitled, highly sexualized unobtainable hot women. But that's exactly the point: pre-crime arrest and detention for every man who can't score in the sexual arena, or in other areas of life..

This will be a bonanza for them: every man suspect and treated as a potential terrorist, more fear and mistrust of men by women, gun grabs, policing of the net, etc.. But there's no mention of putting a stop to the hypersexualization of the public and violent movies and video games and a return to the bad old days of training females to behave like ladies, in stead of like surly sluts.

Whilst I see some merit in this article and I certainly see the role of porn in destabilizing what is left of society, and encouraging satanist practices. I could also say this guy would have been better off jerking off to porn rather than shooting up real women, unless he was already disturbed, or made so.

I have been reading parts of the Talmud for the last few years and I can honestly say it has not made me a racist, murderous, hateful, excusing piece of scum. We could ban it, but it would go underground, which it has, which is why people don't know about it, which makes it more effective for their species.
Better out in the open, but keeping in mind what we ought to value and hold dear (ethics and empathy).

ps according to the Yasko/Walsh/Pfieffer school of orthomolecular medicine, SSRI's might be bad for overmethylator types who already have too much confidence - too few neurotransmitter inhibitors so too much Serotonin in the synapses - and too little self control - don't know when to stop . I'd like to see the histamine levels for these killers, and I would be looking for low histamine levels to indicate overmethylation. (and Masonic, Illuminati, military family histories that encourage and train their trauma based mind control communities).

Elliot Rodger's father, in addition to being a commercial director and 2nd unit director for the Hunger Games also specialized in "erotic" photography, particularly nudes; women's buttocks in exotic locales. This couldn't have helped much, since it was likely another example of unobtainable desire.

Rodger was a real kid, not some Sandy Hoax pre-fab shooter. I have a friend who is the godfather of his younger brother and he has known the wife's family for years. They are crushed and yet, there are some troubling anomalies here.

Numerous eye witness accounts have two people in the BMW, not one. Also, his last video was posted at nearly the same time the events were taking place.

This video has been removed by youtube, likely due to the conflict with the time stamp. It feels to me like Rodger was handled and pushed in this direction. Having a look at his phone records and who he has called repeatedly could shed some light on this important piece. There's a real potential of psychic entrapment at work.

n regards to the article posted on your site about psych drugs being the common denominator in mass shootings over the past 20 years:

http://ssristories.org/index1.php

if they were all on psych meds, there is another common denominator:
they were all seeing shrinks!!!
were they hypnotized or programed?
one wonders.

While I agree that pornography is destructive and can be traumatizing, I was persuaded initially by the article posted by the Christian psychologist.

But then I remembered that I was exposed to porn as a boy that age, the first time maybe even younger, but I didn't kill anyone. The only difference was the medium; we didn't have computers back then.

I remember vividly first getting cable and stumbling onto a movie that had a girl being raped in a classroom by three guys. It left an impression.

When I first saw the videos he made and read parts of his manifesto, I could only think that this is uniquely Californian, 100% Hollywood. People like Eliot Rodgers do not come from Iowa and have fathers who work at the Naval Armory.

Stuart said (May 29, 2014):

Pornography is NOT the problem. Guns are NOT the problem. Mental health issues are NOT the problem. Drugs are NOT the problem. The PROBLEM is the lack of individual responsibility in this country. It seems that everyone, liberal or conservative now adays, has an agenda to eradicate the idea of personal responsibility in favour of placing the blame on anything BUT the person who committed the act. This is the beginning of the destruction of society. In ALL empires in ages past.

When I read that someone believes that porn "traumatized" a teenage boy......red flags go up big time. They should with ANYONE.

NO BODY believes this latest shooting story, especially the "reasoning" behind it. Boy rejected by girl(s)....so he kills people? NOPE NOPE NOPE....did not happen. And now...the headlines....boy "Traumatized" by porn.

The gun control lobby has latched onto a new tool for their bag of tricks...people with mental problems. If they can convince Americans that persons with mental issues should not have guns, that is ALL they need to get guns out of our hands. We won't fall for it.

How stupid do they think we are? I don't buy it for one second....and the premise of the latest article on your site is just.....trash. Absolute trash nonsense.

You may not agree with what I am to say. The kid was a 5 hour drive to the Chicken Ranch in NV. He had a credit card and Dad's money and a BMW. This would have been better that any women around and he could have caught, G-D knows what or had knocked her up. That least at the Chicken Ranch, they use protection and are safe from G-D knows what.
