Revelation of the Method is a tactic employed by those who seek to oppress us. It's a form of witchcraft derived from the Kabbalah that consists of revealing to the public what they plan to do before they do it.
To understand how it works, one must first come to grips with the reality that the people behind these things, whether fake school shootings, fake pandemics, or terrorist attacks, are into sorcery, witchcraft, and satanism. They literally worship the devil. You might think that's nonsense, but the people behind these hoaxes, terrorist attacks, and assassinations don't. They believe in the forces of evil very strongly, and they're much smarter in the ways of the world than you are.
By revealing what they are going to do beforehand - Revelation of the Method - they believe they are granted special powers to carry out their plans. They also believe it makes their victims complicit in their own demise. In other words, if the hoax-pushers reveal months and years ahead of time that they are going to launch a worldwide fake pandemic, and people are dumb enough to go along with it, then the people who die or injure themselves because of that fake pandemic have no one to blame but themselves.
It's no different than someone telling you, "I'm going to enter your house and take everything you own," and you throwing the door wide open and saying, "Sure, come on in. Take whatever you want. Want some coffee while you're doing that? How about some cookies and milk?"
You would then have no standing in court. The judge would take one look at the case and say to you, "He told you what he was going to do and you let him in. You told him to take whatever he wanted and made no effort to stop him. You're complicit in the crime. Get out of my courtroom."
Just like that judge, the hoax pushers believe God will reject everyone who complies and goes along with their plans. That's why they reveal their plans beforehand. They do it every single time.

I agree with MW that no one planned this that far ahead. Could another form of 'Revelation of the Method' be simply adapting their plan around some thing already existing in fiction ? Perhaps they used AI to scan for this, or at least anything with one coincidental connection and tailored their plan around it.
Secondly, if there was a longer plan behind this (but not so long at when that movie was made) perhaps someone was persuaded to change his name (or hers, as the case may be) some years ago; that is, if an incident like this, or something similar, was always in the cards to be played at some point, to effect a change in the narrative when and if needed
